Title
Study of a diversified life insurance contract
Abstract
“Eurodiversifié” first appeared in keeping with the 2003 Fillon act within the framework of pension’s reform and the introduction of a new saving’s product, “Plan d’Epargne Retraite Populaire”. Since July 2006, the regulation has extended the right of the “eurodiversifié” fund to become a full life insurance product.
This new generation of life insurance contracts opens new perspectives: as accounting, new technical reserves, an in-house fund …
Furthermore, several options are proposed allowing insurers to build a full range of products.
This report presents several aspects of the funds: On the one hand it presents this new product from a statutory and legal point of view and describes the functioning with examples. On the other hand, it explores especially, the allocation of assets by means of simulations using stochastic scenarios.
Finally, for each step of this report, the “eurodiversifié” fund will be compared with a classic saving’s fund.
